Tubeloss
Calculator for aerosol particle transport efficiency through sampling tubes, accounting for diffusion and inertial losses.
Authors
Web version: Sander Mirme (sander@airel.ee)
Original MATLAB implementation: Heikki Junninen, Pasi Aalto, Tuukka Petäjä
Method
Transport efficiency is calculated from laminar diffusion losses (Gormley-Kennedy equation),
turbulent diffusion, and inertial deposition. The flow regime is determined by the Reynolds number,
with interpolation in the transition region.
